About the Role

Join the purchasing team and actively shape the future of our products within the Professional Filter & Raw Materials division. This position offers a significant opportunity to leverage your knowledge of plastic components and manufacturing technologies to influence versatile material segments critical to our product portfolio. Collaborating closely with various departments, you will initiate impactful improvements and develop solutions tailored to real business needs, supporting projects such as product development and contributing to corporate success.

As a Procurement Manager for Materials & Products, you will ensure our international procurement network operates optimally through robust supplier partnerships and smart purchasing strategies that enhance our supply chain daily, aligning all efforts with customer value to foster sustainable and profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the procurement of plastic parts and assemblies, strategically advancing the associated product category.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to secure a unified and future-focused purchasing strategy.
  • Monitor and analyze international sourcing markets, evaluating new opportunities.
  • Lead price and contract negotiations to establish economically viable agreements.
  • Identify optimization potentials and develop effective cost-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain transparency on cost and price developments, deriving actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare professional analyses and reports to support informed decision-making.
  • Represent procurement interests in cross-disciplinary projects, notably in new product development.
  • Conduct regular visits to national and international suppliers to assess performance, quality, and innovation potential.

Candidate Profile

  • Several years of procurement experience with technical components; ideally specializing in plastic injection molding and assembly. Alternatively, experience with other manufacturing technologies such as aluminum die casting, stamping, or forming paired with a solid understanding of production processes.
  • Technical background, for example in toolmaking or plastics engineering, is also highly suitable.
  • Strong knowledge of international sourcing markets and supplier management.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Competent in negotiation, contract management, and sustainable supplier relationship building.
  • Proficient use of MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint; SAP MM knowledge is advantageous.
  • Demonstrates a structured, pragmatic approach paired with strong execution capabilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with solution-oriented action and comfort operating in international, multicultural settings.
  • Ability to work independently, quickly assimilate new topics, and assertively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluent German and business-level English skills required for collaboration with internal and external partners.
