About the Role
NSH Saudi Arabia is looking for a skilled Procurement Engineer to join their team supporting Oil & Gas EPC projects. The candidate will handle the procurement of materials and equipment essential for the execution of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with quality standards, project timelines, and specifications. Preference will be given to professionals with experience in GCC or Middle East Oil & Gas sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct procurement operations for mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and civil materials needed in EPC projects.
- Analyze Material Requisitions (MRs), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs), Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and project requirements.
- Source and assess potential suppliers and subcontractors for qualification.
- Request quotations, prepare commercial evaluation reports, and negotiate pricing, delivery, and contractual terms with vendors.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and oversee the procurement workflow until goods and services are delivered.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, Planning, Construction, and Logistics departments to ensure availability of materials on time.
- Monitor supplier performance and expedite procurement processes to meet project deadlines.
- Verify that all procured items conform to project criteria, client expectations, and international standards.
- Address procurement-related challenges, vendor disputes, and resolve shortages promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive procurement documentation, supplier databases, and reporting tools.
- Uphold compliance with company procurement policies and contractual agreements.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Between 5 to 10 years of procurement experience within Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, or Industrial Construction sectors.
- Preferably 3 to 5 years of work experience in the GCC or Middle East region.
- Experience in procuring a broad range of engineering materials including equipment, valves, piping, structural steel, electrical, and instrumentation.
- Proficient understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, commercial negotiations, and supply chain logistics.
- Experience with ERP procurement software such as SAP or Oracle is advantageous.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and coordination abilities.
- Capacity to work efficiently under pressure and conform to tight project schedules.
Preferred Expertise
- Exposure to large-scale Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Knowledge of client standards from companies such as Saudi Aramco, SABIC, or ADNOC is a plus.
- Strong familiarity with international procurement standards and project documentation protocols.
Compensation and Benefits
Offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from SAR 5,000 to SAR 7,000 depending on experience and interview assessment.
