Role Responsibilities

• Issuing purchase orders to designated vendors for a variety of food and packaging Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), ensuring proper pricing, quantities, and buffer stock.
• Collaborating closely with HelloFresh distribution centers, offsite production sites, warehouse locations, and suppliers to guarantee timely deliveries that align with demand forecasts.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives by proposing changes, piloting new processes, and implementing updates in procurement practices.
• Analyzing purchasing data to verify accuracy, compliance with procedures, and identifying discrepancies for resolution.
• Quickly addressing and resolving supplier-related issues concerning operations, purchasing, or quality concerns professionally.
• Managing weekly operational tasks such as updating purchase orders, tracking freight, handling production challenges, processing invoices, cleansing data, and controlling inventory levels.
• Supporting colleagues to ensure no customer orders are missed and ingredient substitutions due to procurement issues are avoided.
• Working collaboratively with a team of high performers to expand and enhance offsite production capabilities.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is a mandatory qualification.
• Between 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement or sourcing roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel.
• Willingness to work weekends on approximately three occasions per quarter.
• Ability and openness to travel to the New York City headquarters in the USA 1-2 times annually, subject to business needs and managerial discretion.
• Customer-focused mindset with dedication to fulfilling client needs effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Data-driven and inquisitive, seeking valuable insights from purchasing data.
• Highly adaptable, thriving in fast-paced, dynamic, and rapidly changing work environments.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $63,000 and $73,000 CAD annually.
