Role Overview

The Process Technician is responsible for the setup, startup, diagnosis, and repair of injection molding presses along with all related auxiliary and secondary production equipment. This role prioritizes safety and product quality by maintaining machines at optimal cycles and documenting processes, settings, and diagrams to support future operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and manage injection molding machinery and associated equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of process configurations, modifications, and water system diagrams to facilitate efficient production runs.
  • Conduct timely quality inspections including visual and dimensional assessments, address non-conformances proactively, and collaborate with quality teams on issues.
  • Implement process adjustments aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and product quality.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in injection molding or as a process technician.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of plastics, PVC materials, resins, and injection molds.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional post-secondary training or certification is desirable.
