Role Overview
This newly established position seeks a Principal Intelligence Analyst to spearhead the creation and leadership of intelligence and analytics capabilities within the Compliance team. The role focuses on enabling improved compliance through data-driven insights and risk assessments across QLeave's schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the intelligence team, providing expert strategic advice and supervision in developing intelligence frameworks, standards, operations, analysis, and governance.
- Design and implement compliance risk assessments integrating both quantitative and qualitative data sources to formulate intelligence-driven compliance treatment plans.
- Assess compliance treatment effectiveness and recommend adjustments based on intelligence insights and compliance activities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, intelligence tools, and reporting frameworks to simplify and communicate complex data and intelligence findings to varied audiences.
- Offer specialized subject matter expertise and administrative guidance to the Compliance and Enforcement teams and senior leadership regarding the progression and application of intelligence capabilities.
Candidate Profile
- Proven knowledge and experience utilizing intelligence and data analytics to influence forward-looking regulatory strategies by transforming intricate data into actionable insights for compliance planning.
- Track record of leading, coaching, mentoring, and enhancing the skills of team members within an intelligence or compliance environment.
- Capability to effect outcomes through intelligence-driven decision making and focused regulatory interventions.
- Proficiency using databases and analytic tools compliant with Queensland legislative standards to extract, analyze, and interpret intelligence data.
- Familiarity with the intelligence lifecycle, analytical methodologies, research techniques, and web scraping.
- Experience conducting advanced predictive and exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to lead amidst data uncertainty in fast-changing environments.
- Experience overseeing the complete intelligence cycle: guidance, collection, collation, analysis, and dissemination.
Qualifications
Although no formal qualifications are mandatory, relevant professional certifications in intelligence are highly regarded.
