About the Role

Mercer is seeking a distinguished Principal to join its HR Transformation practice based in Riyadh or Dubai. This leadership role involves collaborating with esteemed organizations throughout the Middle East and beyond to redefine HR functions, drive transformation initiatives, and achieve lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic engagements by working closely with senior executives and a broad network of consultants.
  • Drive full-cycle HR transformation initiatives including strategy formulation, operating model and organizational design, technology enablement, and process reengineering.
  • Oversee project delivery by managing economics, timelines, quality, and mentoring teams to produce insightful and actionable recommendations.
  • Engage in business development by identifying opportunities, crafting compelling proposals, conducting executive presentations, and supporting contract negotiations.
  • Contribute actively to thought leadership, methodology advancement, and strengthening Mercer's market presence in the region.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 10 years of consulting experience specifically in HR transformation, with at least 5 years leading multi-workstream large programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in a minimum of three areas such as HR strategy, HR technology implementations, organizational design, process improvement, operating models, organizational effectiveness, or enhancing employee experiences.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the entire HR lifecycle including talent management, rewards, and performance management.
  • Proficient with major HR information systems like Workday, SAP, SuccessFactors, or Oracle and technologies that support recruitment, payroll, attendance, rewards, learning, and talent management functions.
  • Proven success in preparing persuasive proposals and delivering confident executive-level presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving acumen and capability to devise innovative, practical solutions for complex challenges.
  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic, in speaking and writing.
