Role Overview

The Planning & Operations Specialist will be based in Singapore and play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing the global demand planning processes for one or multiple business lines within the Asian facility. This position involves close collaboration with the Asolo-based Planning Team and aims to optimize supply chain operations to attain ideal inventory levels, satisfy customer demands, and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop rolling forecasts ranging from 6 to 12 months covering all product categories including special editions, OEM lines, and collections.
  • Integrate sales, market insights, and key account feedback to anticipate trends, upcoming launches, and marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze historical sales data and market trends to improve forecast accuracy, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support checkpoints for new product introductions by monitoring launch dates and sample availability.
  • Create and maintain a 6-month rolling capacity plan that aligns demand with supplier production limits, considering minimum order quantities, lead times, tooling constraints, and seasonal fluctuations.
  • Challenge and adjust demand plans in response to capacity constraints or cost risks, proposing alternative solutions.
  • Provide visibility on operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies, manage exceptions and prioritize workflow while collaborating closely with different stakeholders.
  • Support inventory service level achievement and monitoring across product categories.
  • Serve as the main liaison for assigned business lines, facilitating communication among Planning, Quality Control, R&D, Product Merchandising, and IT departments regarding operational matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement by questioning existing processes, introducing innovative methods and best practices to enhance supply chain responsiveness and availability.
  • Coordinate efforts with headquarters teams to streamline procedures and assist local units as needed.

Qualification Requirements

  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in planning or operations, preferably within Sporting Goods Manufacturing or Textile Manufacturing sectors.
  • Proficient in data analysis, KPI development, trend evaluation, and root cause troubleshooting.
  • In-depth understanding of planning methodologies, forecasting, production scheduling, and product phase-in/phase-out strategies.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, especially SO99+, AS400, and QlikView / Qlik Sense BI; advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, lookup functions, and basic macros.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities alongside adaptability to dynamic environments.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional Asian language is advantageous.
