Role Overview
The Planning Officer will coordinate and prepare maintenance work packages for regional teams, ensuring the orderly and efficient execution of the master work plan within the Upper Tumut area. This full-time position requires on-site presence with a four-day work week under a Drive-In-Drive-Out (DIDO) arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high occupational health and safety standards by adhering to policies and setting a strong safety example.
- Exhibit leadership through accountability, standardisation efforts, and driving continuous process enhancements.
- Work collaboratively with teams across Planning & Scheduling, Asset Management, and Engineering; proactively develop personal skills.
- Design and manage maintenance work packages, schedules, and maintain accurate data in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Manage technical processes including maintaining records in the Ellipse system, supporting management functions, and ensuring contractor compliance.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualification (Certificate III or IV) combined with valuable post-trade experience, preferably in heavy industry.
- Proven capability to comprehend technical specifications and perform inspections ensuring quality work outcomes.
- Experience in maintenance operations and reliability enhancements specifically in power generation environments.
- Familiarity with Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental policies and standards, and CMMS tools such as Ellipse is advantageous.
- Strong communication and influencing skills to engage effectively at all organizational levels and with external stakeholders.
- Comfortable with technology, including maintenance program requirements, data analysis techniques, and maintenance management best practices.
Work Conditions and Additional Information
This role is based in the Upper Tumut region and requires 100% onsite presence with a four-day work week under a DIDO work pattern.
