Planning Advisor

Overview

The Planning Advisor role within Celestica's Galway site involves leading and managing the site planning team, ensuring smooth coordination between site operations and the global supply chain framework. This expert-level position applies specialized knowledge across multiple domains in supply chain planning, working under established policies and contributing to critical decisions impacting site performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the site planning team by setting objectives, allocating resources, and supporting team members' growth.
• Serve as the primary escalation contact for planning operations and report key metrics to site leadership.
• Collaborate with global customer units and supply chain management to finalize demand forecasts for the site.
• Analyze customer forecasts using various tools to confirm or challenge projections.
• Provide analytical support to assist material and capacity planning at the site level.
• Coordinate with global unit management to finalize demand plans including rebalancing efforts.
• Participate in the improvement of global planning tools, focusing on advanced planning and scheduling systems.
• Utilize advanced forecasting tools and contractual knowledge to support accurate forecasting activities.
• Guide site supply chain operations teams regarding forecast management for master production scheduling.

Physical and Additional Requirements

• Role primarily involves office-based work with extended computer use and detailed data handling.
• Regular tasks include repetitive manual actions such as data entry and calculator use.
• Occasional overnight travel is expected.

Experience and Education

• Six to eight years of applicable experience in supply chain or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
