IZI South Africa is a prominent provider specializing in integrated cash management solutions. The current vacancy is for the Planner position at their Port Elizabeth branch, reporting directly to the Branch Manager. Preference will be given to South African citizens, though all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
Role Overview
The Planner is responsible for the comprehensive daily organization, coordination, and execution of operational workflows to ensure peak efficiency, security compliance, and smooth resource deployment. This entails staff supervision, client communication, and administrative tasks linked to scheduling and managing service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership for effective planning and coordination of daily operations and schedules.
- Accurately plan routing and daily scheduling activities, including allocating vehicles, crews, and drivers.
- Generate daily duty lists ensuring optimal vehicle and staff deployment based on skill sets.
- Design vehicle route plans prioritizing economy and efficiency.
- Assign appropriate vehicles to high-risk assignments, organizing backup resources as needed.
- Schedule proactively to accommodate public holidays or disruptions.
- Coordinate bulk banking vehicle runs each morning and validate next-day clearances with Cash Centres.
- Incorporate supplementary services into daily vehicle schedules and collaborate with other branches for cross-branch tasks.
- Inform relevant departments about any service changes during holiday periods.
- Monitor and regulate casual service requests, securing client approvals and confirming pricing with Sales.
- Maintain accurate records for casual services and ensure prompt invoicing against service completion.
- Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, including reviewing control room logs and addressing any failed services.
- Manage incidents reporting including accidents and robberies efficiently.
- Plan vehicle maintenance and Certificate of Fitness schedules weekly.
- Administer scanning and tracking technologies such as E-Viper and Mix Telematics; manage customer data updates and schedule adjustments accordingly.
- Brief and supervise crews, drivers, and controllers ensuring adherence to procedures, uniform, and protective gear requirements.
- Prepare rosters and manage attendance and shift scheduling with tools like Easy Roster.
- Report absenteeism and administer disciplinary actions when warranted.
- Act as relief for controller role when required.
- Respond promptly to client queries and complaints; collaborate across sales and operational teams for resolutions.
- Contribute actively to occupational health and safety policies, participate in safety forums, and ensure full compliance with safety protocols including wearing protective clothing at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum educational qualification: Grade 12 (Matric).
- Mandatory certifications: PSIRA Grade C, Cash-in-Transit (CIT) training, and valid Firearm Competency Certification for handguns applicable to business use.
- Candidate must have a clean criminal record, no adverse credit, no history of prior employment dismissal, and must not hold directorship in any registered business.
- Demonstrated previous experience in planning, scheduling, or logistics coordination especially in secure environments like cash handling or security services.
- Expertise in route optimization with strong geographic knowledge.
- Proficient in using scheduling software (e.g., Easy Roster) and vehicle tracking systems (e.g., E-Viper, Mix Telematics).
- Strong organizational, reporting, and administrative capabilities.
- Solid leadership skills with prior supervisory responsibilities.
