Position Overview
RIIMS Hospitals is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to oversee medicine dispensing, maintain inventory, assist patients with medication instructions, and manage daily pharmacy operations in a hospital setting. The role requires comprehensive pharmacy knowledge, effective communication, and meticulous work habits.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines according to doctors' prescriptions accurately.
- Provide clear guidance to patients on medicine dosage, timing, and usage.
- Maintain and update medicine stock and inventory records.
- Regularly verify medicine expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions.
- Manage purchase procedures, billing, and daily record keeping for the pharmacy.
- Coordinate with medical staff including doctors, nurses, and receptionists to ensure smooth operations.
- Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized.
- Ensure medicines are issued strictly following prescriptions and hospital protocols.
- Prepare stock and sales reports on a daily and weekly basis.
- Handle patient inquiries professionally and courteously.
Candidate Requirements
- Educational qualification: Diploma or Bachelor in Pharmacy (D.Pharm/B.Pharm).
- Preferably registered with a valid pharmacy license.
- Fresh graduates and experienced pharmacists are welcome to apply.
- Age preference: Between 20 and 40 years.
- Good understanding of medicines and prescription management.
- Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with pharmacy billing software is advantageous.
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and disciplined work ethic.
- Experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy settings is preferred.
Salary and Work Hours
The monthly salary ranges from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000, depending on qualifications, experience, and interview performance. Work will be conducted on a day shift schedule, with timings finalized during the interview process.
