About the Role

This Patrolman role is situated in Dalby and offers a permanent, full-time position under the WDRC Operational Staff Certified Agreement Grade 5.

Role Overview

The Patrolman will undertake a diverse range of civil maintenance and repair tasks aimed at improving the livability and environment of a growing region. Duties include maintenance work, operating small plant and equipment such as ride-on mowers, performing traffic control duties, and maintaining guideposts and signage. Effective communication skills are essential for the upkeep of assigned equipment and cooperation with the team.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate must possess relevant experience or equivalent knowledge in Civil Construction and Maintenance. Desirable qualifications and licenses include:

  • Knowledge of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and its practical application
  • Valid 'C' Class Driver’s Licence (essential)
  • ACDC Chemical Licence, Chainsaw Ticket, Traffic Control Ticket (desirable)
  • MUTCD certification Level 1 and/or 2 (desirable)
