MOD Pizza is seeking a skilled Paralegal to join their small in-house legal team, supporting a varied range of tasks related to corporate governance, litigation, contract management, and legal research.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $31.99 to $37.64, with actual pay dependent on the candidate’s qualifications, expertise, experience, and geographic location.

Work Location and Schedule
The Paralegal will primarily work onsite at MOD Pizza’s Support Center in Bellevue, Washington from Monday to Thursday. Remote work from home is allowed on Fridays, with flexibility for employees who prefer to be onsite five days per week. Standard business hours apply, with flexible arrival and departure times subject to workload and personal needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in corporate governance tasks such as drafting corporate documents and resolutions, preparing regulatory filings, and organizing legal documents
- Monitor trademarks and intellectual property deadlines and collaborate with external counsel on filings and reviews
- Draft, review, and amend contracts, templates, and transaction documents under attorney supervision
- Conduct legal research and provide summaries or recommendations for internal legal review
- Evaluate real estate-related communications and ensure timely resolutions
- Manage a variety of legal tasks and projects including drafting and handling legal correspondence
- Support internal investigations related to employment, operations, or incidents, working with various internal departments
- Handle customer incident reporting and coordination with insurance providers
- Provide litigation assistance including discovery support, insurance correspondence, and liaison with outside counsel
- Track and manage legal deadlines independently and as directed
- Communicate regularly with different departments regarding legal project status
- Represent the Legal Department in meetings with MOD leadership and collaborate across departments
- Complete administrative legal tasks
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years paralegal experience in either a law firm or in-house legal department
- Proven background supporting litigation, including handling discovery, legal research, and document drafting
- Expertise in litigation processes, contract management, commercial contracting, and government filings
- Experience with trademark filings and intellectual property matters
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated adaptability in shifting priorities in alignment with organizational needs
Preferred Experience
- Legal support experience in restaurant, retail, or customer-facing industries is advantageous
Physical Requirements
The role primarily involves office work, requiring prolonged periods in front of computer screens using keyboards, mice, and telephones. Occasional movement around the office to access files and equipment is expected. The role requires minimal physical exertion (up to 10 lbs. occasionally) and frequent communication with colleagues via various formats.
