Overview
Ventia is looking for an Outage Coordinator to join their Wellington team. This role is centered around planning and managing outages to support maintenance, projects, and transmission line work within the Central North Island. The position demands coordination of up to 3,000-4,000 work orders annually, ensuring smooth execution of both scheduled and unscheduled tasks across plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement outage plans in alignment with client maintenance schedules.
- Oversee maintenance activities, projects, and transmission line tasks linked to outages.
- Collaborate as part of the national Energy Network and Renewables team to share information and meet organizational goals.
- Engage actively in growing the business by contributing to team and company objectives.
- Pursue ongoing skill development to stay relevant with evolving industry needs.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in a substation environment and familiarity with high voltage operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Adaptability and the capability to function effectively within a complex setting involving multiple stakeholders.
- Proficient written and verbal English communication skills to accurately interpret and execute tasks.
- Commitment to safety: skilled in identifying and managing hazards, with thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to both low and high voltage sectors.
