Nurse Educator

Role Overview

The Nurse Educator is responsible for designing, implementing, and assessing educational programs tailored for clinical staff, with a concentration on oncology, chemotherapy, and biotherapy training.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the success of onboarding and continuous training initiatives.
• Create and promote skill enhancement opportunities for clinical teams.
• Ensure programs adhere to professional standards such as those set by the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN).
• Support competency assessments and clinical evaluations.
• Serve as an accessible clinical resource and guide for preceptors.
• Perform clinical site visits to maintain training quality and develop clinical procedures.
• Engage in pilot projects and actively participate in staff-related meetings.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse license in the state.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• A minimum of five years' experience in hematology or oncology nursing settings.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate educational programs effectively.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness and capacity to travel frequently for clinical site visits and trainings.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical nursing practice.
• Promote a supportive and collaborative team atmosphere.
