Headquartered in San Francisco and backed by investors like Benchmark and General Catalyst, Mercor is seeking a Network Engineer for a contract position focused on data annotation in autonomous systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze real-world network data including logs, configuration files, telemetry, and event streams.
- Label and categorize significant behaviors, network issues, and anomalies within the datasets.
- Assist in designing schemas and organizing structures for extensive data pipelines.
- Collaborate directly with clients to maintain the accuracy and relevance of data.
- Work autonomously and manage deadlines effectively to contribute to improving AI model accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a network engineer, preferably with enterprise-level environments involving switches, access points, and firewalls.
- Proficient in analyzing logs, event data, and time-series performance metrics.
- Strong interest in understanding how raw network infrastructure data is transformed into inputs that power machine learning models.
