About the Role
We seek a skilled photographer passionate about crafting beautiful and commercially compelling images to join our Creative team. This role revolves around balancing artistic vision with commercial objectives, delivering compelling photography that showcases our products across Katie Loxton and Joma Jewellery brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality, creative photography for ecommerce, marketing, and brand campaigns, maintaining brand consistency.
- Shoot a variety of formats including model, flat lay, and still life photography reflecting each brand's identity.
- Develop lifestyle imagery for use in digital platforms including websites, social media, CRM, paid media, print, and retail materials.
- Interpret creative briefs and brand guidelines to produce visually captivating content.
- Collaborate with styling teams on product presentation, props, and set design.
- Direct models professionally, adapting approaches and supporting junior talent as needed.
- Assist the Senior Photographer on large campaigns in studio and on location.
- Manage photography projects from planning through final asset delivery.
- Innovate lighting arrangements and creative approaches to elevate visual content quality.
- Prepare equipment, review shot lists, and contribute to set design and shoot planning.
- Ensure all images meet brief requirements, deadlines, and brand standards.
- Work alongside Senior Photographer and Shoot Manager to select and approve imagery before retouching.
- Maintain equipment and photography sets, reporting any malfunctions.
- Support additional ecommerce and website photography as needed.
- Foster strong collaboration with Creative, Brand, Marketing, and Ecommerce teams for efficient project delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve studio workflows and photographic processes.
- Share knowledge and provide support to junior Creative team members.
- Continuously seek to enhance the quality, consistency, and efficiency of photography outputs.
Candidate Profile
- Professional experience in ecommerce, fashion, lifestyle, or studio photography roles.
- Proven capabilities in fashion and still-life product photography.
- Deep passion for visual storytelling, fashion, and product trends.
- Expertise in studio lighting techniques across various photography styles.
- Confident in directing models and leading on-set activities.
- Strong commercial insight to produce imagery that accurately represents products and entices customers.
- Skilled at managing photography projects from initial briefing to final delivery.
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across teams.
- High attention to detail and dedication to producing excellent work consistently.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure maintaining consistent quality across large outputs.
- Understanding of content requirements for ecommerce, social media, CRM, and paid advertising platforms.
- Proficiency with Capture One, Adobe Photoshop, image workflow management, file handling, and basic image retouching.
- Experience working within structured asset management and retouching workflows.
- Strong communication capabilities and a positive, proactive attitude aiming for continuous learning.
- Willingness to be flexible with working hours to support shoot schedules as needed.
Additional Information
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with an average of three days per week onsite at our Banbury office, and remaining days from home. Exceptional flexibility might be required for shoot schedules outside regular hours.
