Role Overview

We seek a meticulous Medical Editor to contribute on a project-by-project basis, working up to 40 hours weekly as needed. Candidates should have a background in pharmaceutical advertising, with deep experience in editing, referencing, and annotations. While several therapeutic areas are applicable, the current primary focus is oncology.

Compensation & Work Details

Hourly rate: $45-50
Contractual and project-based with expected availability up to 30 hours per week when assignments arise
Fully remote work, aligned with Eastern Standard Time business hours

Key Responsibilities

Proofread and edit promotional and medical materials ensuring accuracy, clarity and compliance
Annotate source documents and provide references supporting medical/legal/regulatory reviews
Validate that claims are adequately substantiated and correspond to approved data
Engage with copywriting teams, account managers, and regulatory/legal personnel to maintain project momentum

Required Qualifications

Previous experience in a pharmaceutical advertising agency is mandatory
Extensive hands-on skills in annotation and referencing are essential
Experience working with healthcare professionals preferred; direct-to-consumer advertising experience is also valued
Exceptional attention to detail and consistency under tight deadlines
Ability to operate independently and manage workload on varying projects

Additional Information

Availability during standard EST business hours is crucial as work arises
