About the Role
Home Health Focus AI is dedicated to connecting home healthcare professionals with significant roles that emphasize patient care quality. We function as a verifier and source finder rather than a staffing agency or direct employer. This part-time, remote Medical Assistant position offers a flexible setting with career growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a substantial volume of inbound and outbound calls to patients during assigned shifts.
- Coordinate scheduling for Annual Wellness Visits and care management appointments.
- Educate patients professionally on preventive healthcare services.
- Conduct medication reconciliation and update patients' medical history records.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance while accurately documenting all patient interactions within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Possession of Medical Assistant certification or relevant healthcare experience is mandatory.
- Prior work experience in a medical office, primary care, or care coordination environment.
- Comfortable making between 50 and 80 patient calls each shift.
- Strong telephone communication skills and the ability to engage Medicare-aged patients effectively.
- Proficient multitasking and precise documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a call center environment.
- Knowledge of EHR platforms such as Epic, NextGen, or comparable systems.
- Experience serving Medicare patient populations.
