About the Role
Our client, a reputable manufacturer specializing in precision oilfield casing and downhole tool equipment, is expanding their engineering team in Fort Worth, TX. This full-time, onsite opportunity involves collaborating with seasoned professionals to design, build, and test vital equipment utilized within the oil and gas sector. The position suits a proactive engineer with a systems thinking approach, strong practical skills, and a commitment to engineering quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior technical staff in executing design processes for designated projects.
- Develop design packages by designing, modeling, and supporting initial manufacturing efforts.
- Engage in meetings with internal teams, clients, vendors, and field operators as required.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical documents, proposals, and presentation materials under guidance.
- Work collaboratively within the design team to manage project timelines, create new designs, prototype developments, and devise test equipment and operational procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and field issues.
- Stay informed on current engineering research, industry standards, and emerging design software.
- Maintain ethical standards throughout all engineering tasks.
- Participate in cross-functional training to enhance knowledge across various products and departments.
- Conduct engineering calculations and system designs under supervision.
- Engage actively in design and design review discussions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in design and research & development testing.
- Over 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environments.
Preferred Background
- Field operations experience within the oil and gas industry.
- Prior involvement designing downhole oilfield tools.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to handle multiple projects efficiently under pressure and time constraints.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, industry norms, and best practices.
- Adherence to prescribed standards, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Robust organizational and time management skills.
- Analytical thinking, troubleshooting aptitude, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation
Salary starts at $80,000 annually, dependent on experience.
