About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Supervisor to oversee mechanical assembly and integration processes for skids, packages, and equipment tailored for the oil & gas, petrochemical, and water treatment sectors in Riyadh. The supervisor will guarantee that all assembly tasks comply with safety protocols, timetables, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and assign daily mechanical assembly tasks to the assembly team.
- Ensure equipment assembly aligns precisely with engineering drawings, P&IDs, and project requirements.
- Supervise critical assembly activities including equipment alignment, flange handling, bolting, gasket installation, and torque application.
- Collaborate with Quality Control to verify dimensional accuracy, proper fit-up, and confirm completeness of assemblies.
- Implement and monitor strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, including safe lifting, rigging, and manual handling procedures.
- Manage and maintain tools, fixtures, and calibrated torque devices efficiently.
- Drive 5S housekeeping initiatives, support skill development among assembly technicians, and regularly report progress to production management.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least 8 years of experience in mechanical assembly within fabrication or manufacturing settings, including prior supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience specifically in manufacturing packages for oil & gas, petrochemical, or water treatment industries.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Technology.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and assembly specifications.
- Practical experience with precision equipment alignment, bolting, flange management, and conducting quality inspections.
- Exposure to Saudi Aramco fabrication standards (SAES/SAEP) is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S methodology, and a strong dedication to safety and quality improvement.
