Role Overview
This position leads market research and competitive intelligence work from start to finish, shaping research priorities and turning market signals into practical business recommendations. It also involves managing research data assets, supporting vendor negotiations, and building research approaches that help solve business challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Own and drive end-to-end market research and competitive intelligence initiatives, including influence over syndicated and primary research priorities.
- Identify major industry questions, assess trends and challenges, and convert them into opportunities, risks, and clear takeaways for stakeholders.
- Create actionable marketing guidance and insights that support strategic planning.
- Provide market intelligence such as market sizing and sector trend analysis to inform product, service, solution, and marketing decisions.
- Take part in negotiating contracts with research vendors and help establish repeatable methods and processes for market sizing work.
- Build and maintain well-organized research databases, infrastructure, and repositories while protecting data quality and security.
- Work with internal teams to understand business problems and design research projects that address them.
- Ensure all research practices follow ethical standards and legal requirements, especially around privacy and data protection.
- Apply deep subject-matter expertise to complex initiatives, use independent judgment, and contribute to policy and business issue resolution.
Experience & Education
A four-year degree or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a closely related field is preferred, though equivalent work experience or demonstrated capability may also be considered. The role typically requires 5 to 8 years of experience, ideally in marketing, project management, or a related discipline.

Relevant capability areas include analytics, business intelligence, competitive intelligence, customer insights, market intelligence, market research, data analysis, data visualization, statistics, dashboard creation, Power BI, economics, marketing strategy, business strategy, and new product development.

This role influences the function and may lead or support functional project teams, with possible involvement in cross-functional initiatives. It is expected to handle complex problems that require careful analysis of multiple variables.

Compensation & Benefits
The annual pay range for this position is USD 105,050 to USD 161,800, with possible additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for eligible U.S. candidates. Actual pay depends on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
