Role Summary

The open position is a full-time, onsite Production Planner located in St. Petersburg, FL. The planner's responsibilities include formulating, updating, and revising production schedules aligned with customer demand forecasts, inventory targets, and manufacturing capacity constraints. This role requires collaboration with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to assure timely material availability and resource allocation.

Key Duties

• Maintain material flow through scheduling purchases and production to meet finished goods inventory goals and shipping commitments.
• Review incoming bookings and customer orders to generate purchase and work orders that fulfill sales and delivery timelines.
• Run necessary reports to identify stock levels and take corrective action per departmental standards.
• Serve as Buyer for parts and materials within designated product scope.
• Communicate confirmed shipping dates effectively for all sales orders.
• Manage the disposition and resolution process for rejected or failed materials promptly.
• Update and maintain accuracy of MRP data supporting inventory and reporting needs.
• Keep management informed of any unresolved material or production issues impacting performance metrics.
• Work closely with engineering on new product development and special order requirements.
• Track and monitor open work orders to guarantee timely completion and reconcile material variances.
• Coordinate the timely and accurate shipment of customer orders in collaboration with internal teams.
• Provide ongoing reporting on backlog status and revenue forecasting.

Qualifications & Skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented with excellent planning and organizational capabilities.
• Proficient with MRP systems and associated applications for production planning.
• Competency in Microsoft Office suite and query tools.
• Ability to manage priorities within a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in production planning or purchasing within an MRP/ERP-driven electronics or electro-mechanical manufacturing environment involving complex Bills of Materials.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; certifications such as APICS or NAPM are advantageous.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
