Role Overview
The Ireland Operations team at Dexcom is establishing manufacturing operations in Athenry, County Galway. The Manufacturing Associate 4 (Production Team Lead) will coordinate production activities during the front end day shift on a 24/7 cleanroom production line, focusing on assembling Dexcom’s Continuous Glucose Monitors. This role demands a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in a semi-automated and automated manufacturing environment.
Work Schedule
- 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Workdays: Monday to Wednesday plus alternate Thursdays
- Schedule cycle: a repeating pattern of 4 days on/3 days off followed by 3 days on/4 days off
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily planning and management of manufacturing operations on the assigned shift.
- Inspect and verify the work performed by Manufacturing Associates, maintaining records on production yields and defect rates.
- Serve as the key communication bridge between operators and supervisors/managers.
- Implement production plans to meet agreed yield targets within the designated production area.
- Assist supervisors and managers with resource scheduling, equipment allocation, and conducting documentation and training activities.
- Ensure all equipment maintenance and calibrations occur on schedule to avoid downtime.
- Maintain strict compliance with all pertinent regulations including FDA and ISO standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Planning to resolve production-related issues.
- Monitor production progress, proactively address challenges, and support team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Promote a supportive and cooperative work environment, effectively managing team dynamics and conflicts.
- Identify growth opportunities for team members and provide coaching to aid their professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in medical device manufacturing with cleanroom exposure.
- Possession of at least a level 6 diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification.
- Previous team leadership experience is advantageous.
- Strong computer skills and mechanical aptitude with problem-solving capability.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, training, and knowledge transfer skills.
- High dexterity and meticulous attention to detail.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Reliability, punctuality, and efficiency in task completion.

Additional Information
The hourly base salary is €18.36 gross; applicable overtime or shift differentials are not included in this figure.
