We are currently seeking a Manager to oversee the Transformation Program Delivery in Calgary. This role reports to the Director, S&IS Capital Project Delivery, and is responsible for managing extensive, multi-year business transformation initiatives including Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Enterprise Content Management (ECM) programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning and management of large-scale business transformation programs, defining roadmaps, delivery approaches, dependencies, and risk management.
  • Maintain accountability for scope, timelines, budgets, quality, resources, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation.

  • Resolve cross-program challenges by removing obstacles and facilitating progress among diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Guarantee smooth transitions to operations focusing on business readiness, user adoption, and ongoing value realization post-implementation.
  • Oversee financial management including budgeting, forecasting, controlling costs, and managing vendor contracts in partnership with Supply Chain and Legal teams.
  • Ensure system integrators and vendors meet contractual obligations with respect to quality and timelines.
  • Engage and collaborate with executive leaders, sponsors, IT, and key stakeholders to align program direction and expedite critical decisions.
  • Maintain compliance with governance frameworks, regulatory standards, audits, documentation, and traceability.
  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, business analysts, technical analysts, and controls analysts, promoting delivery discipline, risk management, transparent communication, and accountability.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of IT project and program management experience with at least 5 years dedicated to program management of multi-year, cross-functional projects.
  • Mandatory PMP certification; PgMP highly preferred; additional PMI certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP) considered advantageous.
  • Over 5 years experience managing direct reports including performance oversight and coaching.
  • Proven success in comprehensive program delivery managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and vendor performance.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams comprising business analysis, organizational change management, architecture, IT, vendors, business SMEs, and senior stakeholders.
  • Thorough knowledge and practical application of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project delivery frameworks in complex environments.
  • Experienced in structured PMO governance with expertise in financial forecasting, stage gates, deliverable management, and executive reporting.
  • Proven ability in vendor and system integrator oversight including contract and Statement of Work negotiations and dispute resolution.
  • Prior involvement in large-scale enterprise platform deployments such as ERP (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) or EAM (Maximo), with ECM or data programs considered a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
  • Experience in regulated utilities or critical infrastructure sectors is a valued asset.
  • Strong track record of reliability, attendance, and job performance.
