Job description
Overview
The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for executing and overseeing strategic recruitment initiatives and employment programs. This role leads staffing efforts, refines recruiting methods, and ensures compliance with organizational policies to maintain a pool of qualified candidates necessary to support company operations. Accurate record-keeping and the preparation of relevant employment activity reports are also part of the position's duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage talent acquisition strategies, programs, tools, and processes targeting executive, exempt, and non-exempt roles to attract top-tier candidates.
- Work collaboratively with Corporate Recruiting Teams and internal stakeholders to meet recruitment targets across various job classifications.
- Establish strong partnerships with client teams and hiring managers to facilitate efficient and transparent hiring procedures.
- Ensure recruitment processes deliver a positive experience for candidates while adhering to legal and compliant hiring standards.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance recruitment strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other HR functions such as Compensation and broader HR teams to support staffing initiatives including job evaluations and market benchmarking.
- Lead large-scale hiring projects and serve as a liaison for HR partners by sharing best practices and reporting during project execution.
- Oversee special projects or assignments as delegated by senior leadership in Talent Acquisition or related departments.
- Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools to proactively identify and engage passive high-quality candidates.
- Conduct direct sourcing for open positions and manage offer negotiations, coordinating with HR and Compensation teams for approvals and counteroffers.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Candidate Profile and Competencies
- Minimum education: High school diploma or higher; background in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is required.
- At least 3 years of direct experience in sourcing, recruiting, process management, and managing key executive relationships.
- Minimum of 2 years experience leading recruitment teams and managing large-volume hiring.
- 2+ years working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Sound knowledge of employment law and hiring compliance.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to handle confidential information carefully.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Highly detail-oriented and capable of balancing detailed work with strategic big-picture thinking.
- Ability to analyze recruitment data and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Willingness and ability to travel for job fairs and Talent Acquisition events.
