About the Role
Join Sun Pharma as a Manager in IT Procurement based in Mumbai (Acme Plaza), where we nurture an environment encouraging personal growth and professional confidence. Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the full procurement lifecycle for software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, cloud services, IT time & material resources, and IT solutions from both domestic and international suppliers while ensuring timely delivery and quality adherence.
- Conduct thorough spend analyses, cost modeling, benchmarking, and value engineering to formulate negotiation strategies that optimize expenditures.
- Evaluate and compare capital expenditure (Capex) versus operating expenditure (Opex) procurement models, including on-premises versus cloud or subscription options, to identify the most cost-effective solutions.
- Manage procurement processes via RFQ/RFP, employing Reverse Auction and Dutch Auction methods to secure competitive pricing.
- Ensure smooth execution of all Procure-to-Pay (P2P) activities including purchase order creation and processing within SAP, Ivalua, and Metis systems, vendor onboarding and acknowledgment, order monitoring, contract administration, subscription activation, and renewals.
- Maintain compliance through audits by adhering to vendor agreements and avoiding contractual penalties.
- Purchase and administer enterprise software licenses from vendors such as Microsoft, SAP, VMware, Adobe, Oracle, and other tools/software.
- Collaborate closely with IT, security, finance, and business stakeholders to align procurement activities with organizational needs and timelines.
- Follow standard operating procedures, procurement policies, audit mandates, and regulatory requirements diligently.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or Commerce (B.Com).
- MBA specializing in Finance, Purchasing, Logistics, Operations, or Supply Chain Management.
- Eight to ten years of experience in procurement within non-pharma industries, with exposure to global markets.
- In-depth understanding of software licensing types (SaaS, subscription, perpetual) and cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
- Proven experience utilizing Reverse Auction and Dutch Auction sourcing strategies.
- Operational proficiency in SAP, Ivalua, and Metis procurement systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of global pricing and resource rates, government taxes including GST and import duties, currency exchange, international procurement, and ERP classifications of materials and services.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management expertise paired with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and various reporting tools.
- Ability to efficiently manage online procurement portals and licensing platforms.
