Role Overview
As a Manager, you will oversee client projects from initiation to completion, guiding timelines, deliverables, and maintaining strong client relationships at the project level. Beyond delivering high-quality outcomes, you will mentor junior staff, provide constructive feedback, and foster their professional growth. This role involves transitioning from individual contribution to leadership, guiding others' work, and influencing the firm’s strategic direction.
Client Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to establish and advance project vision, define objectives and schedules, and oversee the project execution plan.
- Act as a senior adviser to clients, specializing in our Three Layer Approach, offering candid and expert insights even when challenging for clients.
- Design and lead workshops to facilitate difficult group discussions, effectively communicating Geigsen’s Three Layer method, including emotional and psychological components, and enabling clients to develop these capabilities independently.
- Recognize and support opportunities to expand client accounts.
Internal Responsibilities
- Support team development as a formal career manager and broader mentor within the firm.
- Help cultivate an organizational culture emphasizing continuous 360-degree feedback.
- Lead or significantly contribute to internal growth initiatives.
- Adapt to the versatile demands of a smaller company, contributing across daily operations as needed.
- Participate in proposal development, sales presentations, and identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience in relevant fields such as management consulting, leadership development, organizational transformation, executive coaching, or applied organizational psychology.
- Proven success contributing to sophisticated client engagements.
- Proficient and comfortable engaging with emotional and psychological aspects of leadership, with background in clinical, coaching, or psychology disciplines considered an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory; though advanced degrees such as MBA, PhD/PsyD, MSW, or master’s in organizational or industrial/organizational psychology are often suitable.
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, to accommodate client and business demands.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.
