Maintenance Technician – Electrical / Electrician

Job Overview

The Maintenance Technician specializing in Electrical systems is tasked with conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical problems, and responding promptly to emergency situations throughout designated properties. This position ensures that all electrical operations conform to safety and quality standards, promoting efficient and reliable system functionality.

Primary Duties

• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults across assigned locations.
• Execute scheduled advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
• Respond to electrical emergencies, including on-call duties, ensuring swift and effective solutions.
• Identify technical problems and suggest system enhancements to the Operations Manager.
• Lead and supervise the Maintenance Team during electrical servicing to maintain high-quality standards.
• Provide necessary technical training and support to operations and maintenance personnel.
• Maintain detailed documentation of emergency interventions, maintenance work, parts used, and completion reports.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols in all electrical activities.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a Diploma or accredited certification in Electrical Systems.
• Valid driving license issued in UAE.
• Preferred: Certification in Health and Safety standards.
• At least six years’ professional experience as an electrician in property or facilities management or building maintenance.
• Proficient with panel boards, wiring, fault diagnosis, and specialized electrical measuring devices.
• Well-versed in low and high voltage electrical systems as well as control system operations.

• In-depth understanding of electrical installations with a focus on low voltage systems.
• Foundational knowledge of high voltage systems and control mechanisms.
