Job Overview

We are looking for skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our dynamic Engineering team at a highly automated GMP manufacturing facility in Dundalk, Co. Louth. This full-time permanent role involves supporting manufacturing processes through preventive maintenance, prompt machine repairs, and continuous improvements.

Shift Pattern

  • Work on a permanent Thursday–Saturday schedule
  • 12-hour shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm or 7:00pm to 7:00am

Key Duties

  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on production machinery
  • Swiftly address and fix machine breakdowns to reduce downtime
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in automated equipment
  • Set up machines and perform changeovers according to production needs
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aiming to enhance equipment reliability and effectiveness
  • Engage in root cause analysis and problem-solving tasks
  • Maintain precise maintenance records aligned with GMP standards
  • Support engineering projects involving equipment modifications and new product implementation
  • Uphold exceptional safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance

Candidate Profile

  • Proactive, practical Maintenance Technician with excellent troubleshooting capabilities
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting required

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced Certificate (Craft Level 6 NFQ) in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field
  • At least 4 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing environments
  • Strong skills in electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis
  • Proven ability performing preventive maintenance and machinery repairs
  • Excellent problem-solving aptitude and clear communication skills
  • Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within an Engineering team

Preferred Skills

  • Background in GMP or regulated manufacturing sectors
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting or programming
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with maintaining automated production systems
