About the Role
Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a Logistics Specialist responsible for optimizing small parcel operations, with a focus on analyzing weekly transportation costs for carriers such as UPS and FedEx. This role involves precise management of billing and invoicing for small parcel and last-mile delivery services, alongside providing strategic weekly communications about cost variations and their effects on the transportation budget.
The Logistics Specialist will leverage data-driven insights to suggest improvements aimed at increasing operational efficiency and reducing costs within the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and visualize cost reports for small parcel vendors to support business decision-making.
- Manage relationships with Last Mile vendors, monitoring compliance with Service Level Agreements and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Deliver detailed, data-based insights to leadership to drive process optimization and operational enhancements.
- Collaborate with the transportation team to highlight cost-saving initiatives and their results.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with supply chain, warehouse, inventory control, procurement, and customs departments on service and cost initiatives.
- Audit and accurately code transportation invoices, ensuring submission to Accounts Payable and timely payment processing.
- Work alongside logistics and finance teams to streamline invoicing, payment, and reconciliation workflows.
- Question vendor invoices proactively and identify opportunities to reduce transportation expenses.
- Maintain thorough documentation for processes, reports, and vendor communications.
- Stay current with industry best practices and pursue ongoing professional development in logistics and supply chain management.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for logistics sustainability efforts, tracking and reporting environmental impact and improvement opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of advancing roles in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations; experience in luxury goods preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting, complex formulas) and proficiency with Power BI are essential.
- Competence in importing, formatting, and analyzing large datasets is required; experience with SAP is advantageous.
- Language: Fluency in French is considered a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers an annual salary between $80,000 and $85,000 USD and features a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability coverage, various paid leave options, employee discounts and perks, plus two retirement plans with employer contributions.
