Role Overview

We are seeking a Litigation Adjuster to join our team supporting a national retail client. This is primarily a remote opportunity, with options for hybrid or in-office work depending on your location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations, gather and analyze claim details to form evaluations.
  • Maintain precise records, provide clear reporting, and present case files appropriately.
  • Assess policy coverage, establish liability, and determine claim values.
  • Manage accurate billing and track time and expenses diligently.
  • Engage in negotiation and settlement of claims, finalizing them within delegated authority.
  • Direct and coordinate with field adjusters, experts, and legal counsel as necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience handling technical claims, particularly commercial casualty claims.
  • Familiarity with Commercial General Liability (CGL) claims is advantageous.
  • Proven ability in evaluating and quantifying bodily injury claims.
  • Experience managing complex, multiline claims and legal proceedings related to litigation.
  • Possession or pursuit of Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is mandatory.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain an Independent Adjuster License in your home province and be open to obtaining licenses in other provinces.
  • Post-secondary education in insurance or related fields is considered a plus.
  • Strong teamwork orientation and excellent customer service skills.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
