Role Overview

As a Learning Experience Designer at Metropolis, you will work closely with the Learning & Development (L&D) team and senior instructional designers to craft engaging, scalable educational programs. Your role includes designing course materials, video content, and other training resources to empower employees and build organizational skills in a dynamic, fast-expanding setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of learning programs, courses, and materials under senior guidance.
• Apply basic instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create engaging educational content.
• Translate content from subject matter experts into accessible, clear, and impactful learning aids.
• Assist with the production of video learning content, including scripting, storyboarding, and basic editing using AI-powered and conventional tools.
• Help administer learning initiatives by testing digital resources, deploying surveys, and tracking learner engagement.
• Maintain and organize learning assets, toolkits, and job aids to ensure alignment with L&D strategies and accessibility.
• Collect and analyze learner feedback and data to evaluate and enhance learning effectiveness.
• Keep up to date with emerging learning technologies, AI applications, and industry trends to contribute innovative ideas.
• Prepare for the deployment of a new Learning Management System (LMS) within Workday by auditing existing content and collaborating with SMEs to refine key learning paths.

Required Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or correlated fields.
• Understanding of adult learning theories and foundational instructional design models.
• Basic proficiency with eLearning authoring software such as Rise 360, Articulate, Synthesia, or similar.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet service level agreements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach and enthusiasm to learn.
• Familiarity with G Suite and adaptability toward new HR and LMS platforms.
• Experience utilizing AI tools to transform static workflows into more efficient, responsive processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
• Experience creating multimedia or video-based learning content, with interest or exposure to AI-driven content production tools.

Work Environment and Benefits

This position requires onsite presence at the Los Angeles office at least four days weekly to foster collaboration, innovation, and culture. The company offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, plus eligibility for healthcare benefits, 401(k), disability coverage, life insurance, stock options, and bonus plans.
