Role Overview

The Learning and Development Advisor II is tasked with enhancing and administering innovative learning programs to significantly elevate employee skills, knowledge, and productivity while ensuring compliance across Rocket Lab sites. This position collaborates closely with the L&D Team Lead and senior leaders to spearhead strategic learning ventures, create advanced training content, lead impactful sessions, and mentor junior L&D personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop progressive learning initiatives employing digital platforms and sophisticated instructional design methods.
• Produce compelling training content, including e-learning and instructor-led sessions, grounded in adult learning theories.
• Regularly update training resources to maintain efficacy and applicability.
• Oversee apprenticeship programs to cultivate a skilled talent pipeline.
• Work with managers to create competency frameworks for teams and customize role-specific training to close skill gaps.
• Forge strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external educational or industry experts to align and enhance learning programs.
• Collaborate with People & Culture and departmental leaders to continually refine learning approaches.
• Develop advanced mechanisms to assess training impact and conduct data-driven program improvements.
• Analyze feedback and training metrics to produce insightful reports and recommendations.
• Support strategic talent management efforts by contributing to career pathway development and educating managers on competency tools and reports.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years' experience in Learning and Development or associated domains.
• Demonstrated capability in designing and delivering impactful training programs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
• Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning software platforms.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.

Preferred Extras

• Experience within production, manufacturing, or technical sectors.
• Certification in training and development is advantageous.
• Familiarity with applying AI technologies in an L&D context.
