Opportunity Overview
Amazon Australia is seeking a Learning Coordinator to join the BWU6 Fulfilment Center team in Horsley Park, New South Wales. Reporting to the Learning Manager, this role involves managing and collaborating with the Ambassador team to uphold high-quality training standards for both new hires and current warehouse associates. The successful candidate will receive training in the standard work methods and tools utilized within the Learning function.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate diverse training programs catering to new and experienced warehouse staff.
- Handle administrative duties such as creating and maintaining training schedules and rosters.
- Lead and support Ambassadors in delivering effective training and coaching to associates.
- Monitor and assess the efficiency of training initiatives across the fulfillment center.
- Quickly assimilate new processes and become a knowledgeable resource for those procedures.
- Engage in proactive problem-solving by responding swiftly to issues and taking necessary resolution steps.
- Maintain comprehensive awareness of safety protocols within the fulfillment center, ensuring associates operate safely and addressing hazards immediately.
- Adhere to audit requirements and conduct refresher or change training sessions as mandated.
- Complete all assigned tasks and standard work punctually and to required standards.
- Maintain readiness and organization of training areas to support learning activities effectively.
- Spend at least five hours weekly working in various warehouse process paths such as picking or packing to maintain skill proficiency and understand associates’ challenges.
- Foster positive working relationships with associates, contributing to their success and growth within the role.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Completion of high school education or its equivalent.
- Physical capability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand or walk for shifts up to 12 hours, and perform activities involving pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching frequently.
- Availability to work a standard 40-hour workweek with potential overtime as needed.
