Role Summary
Based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, this role reports directly to the Country Commercial Lead Tanzania. The primary responsibility is to manage and nurture customer relationships aligned with Kerry’s segmentation policies, ensuring all customer-related activities are effectively handled.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement strategic plans to optimize Kerry technologies, collaborating closely with the RD&A team.
- Negotiate and secure pricing agreements with customers.
- Finalise commercial contracts adhering strictly to Kerry guidelines.
- Ensure staff compliance with all relevant Kerry systems and procedures.
- Contribute to preparing and achieving annual budgets, closely monitoring discrepancies and coordinating with the finance department.
- Partner with the Operations team to enhance customer satisfaction through accurate forecasting and engagement.
- Analyze business trends to devise growth strategies and manage the sales opportunity pipeline.
- Lead all sales initiatives as the Key Account Manager for assigned customers.
- Manage essential customer accounts, negotiating agreements to meet revenue and margin targets.
- Develop strategic accounts to secure sustainable growth for Kerry and its clients.
Candidate Profile
- Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships, influencing peers and clients positively.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills demonstrated through impact and collaboration.
- Ability to analyze customer needs and produce effective solutions.
- Proven experience managing complex accounts with effective decision-making skills.
- Competence in making data-informed decisions that balance customer demands and company priorities, especially under pressure.
- Educational qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of experience managing key accounts, preferably in the Food & Beverage sector.
- Technical knowledge to comprehend product and process requirements thoroughly.
- Experience in the FMCG sector is an added advantage.
