Role Summary

As part of our expanding Vendor Management team in Lisbon, the Junior Vendor Manager will serve as the primary liaison for designated suppliers. You will manage commercial negotiations, focusing on price improvements, bonuses, and service level agreements, while actively onboarding new suppliers and SKUs to enhance our product assortment. Monitoring supplier compliance and maintaining data accuracy will be integral to enhancing our operational efficiency and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day communication with assigned vendors, overseeing all operational and commercial engagements.
• Assist in negotiating prices, bonuses, and service levels under the guidance of senior management to improve margins.
• Scout and introduce new suppliers and products aligned with strategic growth objectives.
• Track supplier adherence to contracts and performance benchmarks, resolving noted discrepancies.
• Ensure execution of action plans and follow-ups through regular coordination meetings with suppliers.
• Maintain up-to-date supplier master data, including pricing and contract terms, within internal databases.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Logistics, IT, and Finance to address shipping performance and claims, advancing overall service excellence.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Degree holder in Economics, Management, or related fields; an MBA is considered an advantage.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience within e-commerce or online business environments.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis using Excel and Google Sheets, interpreting complex pricing and performance data.
• Solid grasp of supplier management principles, including procurement processes and assortment strategies.
• Fundamental negotiation capabilities coupled with a clear understanding of commercial contract terms such as pricing structures and discount schemes.
• Professional English skills at B2 level or above are mandatory; fluency in Italian, French, or German is highly beneficial.
• Detail-oriented, proactive approach with a strong focus on maintaining the integrity of master data and contractual agreements.
• Preferred experience or knowledge of the automotive aftermarket and parts manufacturing sector.
• Familiarity with legal aspects underpinning commercial contracts is a plus.
