About Tech Pipeline
Tech Pipeline focuses on eliminating operational inefficiencies that hinder company performance, specifically addressing broken business process segments where data is lost or approval processes fail. In this role, you'll support a logistics company based in Jeddah by enhancing the user interfaces used by their teams for daily route planning and scheduling.
Role Overview
The Junior UI Developer position at Tech Pipeline extends beyond visual design: it involves creating interfaces that accurately represent real-time data conditions. Many client systems are outdated and confusing to users due to obsolete dashboards and malfunctioning forms. Your responsibility will be to uncover why UI elements fail to reflect true system status, such as resolving issues with routing rule displays or correcting erroneous data entry forms impacting financial records. This fully remote job requires close collaboration with the technical team to deliver intuitive, maintainable tools for long-term client use.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve frontend codebases for internal tools using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Analyze browser console logs to identify and rectify errors in data displays and form interactions.
- Convert technical needs from operations staff into user-friendly interface components.
- Refactor legacy code to keep UI aligned with backend database updates.
- Conduct cross-browser and responsive testing of new UI features.
- Document component functionality and style guides for client handover.
- Work alongside backend engineers to correctly connect APIs with frontend visualizations.
- Develop straightforward reporting dashboards to prevent discrepancies in financial and operational data.
Candidate Requirements
- Foundational understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript.
- Familiarity with popular JS libraries or frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
- Logical problem-solving skills coupled with strong attention to detail.
- Capability to produce clear documentation explaining UI components.
- Eagerness to comprehend business logic shaping the interfaces you build.
- Effective communication skills suited for remote teamwork with emphasis on documentation.
- Experience using browser developer tools to debug and inspect code.
- Ability to adhere to an existing design system while suggesting practical UI enhancements.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience with version control systems such as Git for code management.
- Basic knowledge of RESTful API consumption for data retrieval and display.
- Background in service-focused roles or interest in logistics and operations domains.
- Exposure to design tools like Figma for reviewing UI mockups.
Benefits and Work Environment
- Permanent full-time role emphasizing technical skill development and clarity.
- Remote work providing flexibility, prioritizing outcomes instead of time logged.
- Competitive entry-level salary aligned with the role's significance.
- Exposure to impactful projects for top regional logistics companies.
- Minimal meeting culture concentrating on focused, technical tasks.
- Opportunity to bridge complex backend infrastructure with user-centric interfaces.
About Working at Tech Pipeline
Tech Pipeline boasts a team of practical problem solvers who prioritize actionable solutions over abstract theories. Communication is streamlined via weekly updates and thorough documentation rather than frequent meetings. The company operates on a project completion basis, staying during initial live operation to ensure system stability before thorough handover to clients. Hence, code needs to be transparent, maintainable, and easy for clients to manage independently. The role offers exposure to authentic technical challenges with the autonomy and convenience of remote work.
