Role overview
This contract opportunity is for a Junior Project Manager to assist with two major customer implementation programmes that are already in progress. The work centres on SAS product rollouts, and the ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting enterprise software or SaaS deployments into client environments.
The assignment is expected to run for an initial 3 to 6 months, with the possibility of extension. The rate is up to $650 per day including superannuation. The position can be performed remotely, although applicants located in Queensland, especially Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast, are preferred.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will help keep implementation delivery on track by coordinating plans, monitoring milestones and ensuring actions are followed through. You will work across internal technical and functional teams, as well as customer stakeholders, to support smooth project execution.
- Assist with the delivery of customer software implementation initiatives
- Keep project schedules, timelines, milestones and progress updates current
- Monitor actions, risks, issues and interdependencies throughout delivery
- Act as a coordination point between internal teams and external clients
- Run meetings, record outcomes and ensure action items are completed
- Support documentation tasks, workflow mapping and process improvement work
What the client is looking for
The preferred candidate will have prior exposure to software, SaaS, CRM or other enterprise system implementations. Strong coordination, planning and reporting capability is important, along with confidence in handling stakeholders, timelines, risks and follow-up actions.
You should also be comfortable working alongside technical specialists and customer-facing teams. Experience in healthcare, community services, disability, government or other regulated settings will be viewed favourably.
Additional information
This role is open to remote applicants, but Queensland-based candidates are preferred. The contract length is 3 to 6 months initially, with extensions possible. The stated day rate is up to $650 including superannuation.
