Junior Controller (w/m/d)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Controller (w/m/d) to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team on a fixed one-year contract. The position is based in Frankfurt and focuses on key controlling tasks within the banking sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the coordination and execution of the medium-term financial planning processes, including detailed budgeting for the upcoming year.
• Prepare monthly reports for various stakeholders, performing ongoing variance analysis between planned and actual results and providing comments.
• Analyze company and sales performance using relevant KPIs and continuously improve reports and key performance indicators.
• Conduct the monthly forecasting process to update financial projections.
• Assist in the monthly capital and liquidity planning activities.
• Prepare report sections and presentations for events such as monthly shareholder meetings and supervisory board sessions.
• Contribute to further development of controlling models and systems.
• Participate in compiling the management report as part of the annual business report.

Qualifications and Skills

• Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 1 to 2 years of professional experience in controlling within a bank or financial services provider.
• Solid foundational knowledge of accounting standards including HGB and IFRS.
• Fluent in both English and German.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.
• Resilient, motivated, and dependable.
• Proficient in standard office software as well as information and analysis tools.
• Ability to work successfully within a multicultural and dynamic environment.
