About the Role

We are seeking an IT Support Technician based in Qatar for a full-time onsite position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, operating systems, and applications. You will ensure the smooth operation and security of computer systems and networks, responding promptly to technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, printers, and applications.
Perform operating system and application upgrades.
Monitor and maintain computer systems and network infrastructure.
Respond promptly to service requests and technical issues.
Support users with setup and troubleshooting both in person and remotely.
Diagnose and solve hardware and software issues affecting systems and networks.
Repair or replace faulty parts as necessary.
Create user accounts and configure Outlook for new users.
Conduct regular security scans on end-user devices.
Maintain inventory of technology hardware, printer toners, and consumables.
Track and resolve incidents using the ticketing system.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Familiarity with networking concepts such as OSI and TCP/IP models, IP addressing, WINS, VPN, and IPv4.
Experience with system and LAN administration, including installation and configuration.
Strong knowledge of IT network and security systems including firewalls and UPS.
Proficiency in PC hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
Experience with Windows Server environments.
Expertise in Microsoft services including domain management, DNS, DHCP, and Hyper-V virtualization.
Knowledge of SQL Server.
Experience with SYMC Backup and SEMP.
Exchange server management skills.
Installation and troubleshooting of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting personal and network printers and peripherals.
Apple technology experience is considered a plus.

Education and Certification

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
Relevant certifications such as MCITP or MCSE and CCNA.
