Job Overview
We seek a skilled IT Systems & Network Support professional to oversee the configuration and upkeep of physical and logical network components at the L1 level, alongside delivering end-user IT assistance for office personnel. This position also entails IT asset management, user onboarding and offboarding, thorough IT documentation, remote system monitoring, backup operations, and vendor liaison.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain and support WAN and LAN connections, including routers, firewalls, access points, and associated security infrastructure.
- Deliver L1 support for Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Windows Domain Server, Active Directory (AD), Azure AD, Azure DS, Office 365, SQL, and SharePoint.
- Support remote access solutions including VPN, Terminal Services, and Azure ExpressRoute.
- Oversee security and protection tools like Cisco and Meraki firewalls, antivirus programs, and patch management systems.
- Continuously monitor systems remotely and react promptly to alerts and notifications.
- Manage backup routines for IT devices and systems effectively.
- Provide first-level technical support to office users and resolve daily IT issues.
- Handle IT asset lifecycle including issuance, return, tracking, and inventory management of equipment.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for users.
- Communicate and collaborate with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all computer systems and network infrastructure.
- Ensure that all IT operational processes and documentation are kept accurate and up-to-date.
Required Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar disciplines.
- At least 3 years of pertinent experience managing enterprise IT environments with a focus on systems and network support, documentation, asset management, and user support.
- Preferred certifications include MCSE, AZ-900, and CCNA/CCNP.
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Windows Server environments.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Active Directory (AD), Azure platforms including Azure AD and Azure DS.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- Working knowledge of Cisco and Meraki networking products.
- Expertise in LAN/WAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Experience with VPNs, Terminal Services, and Azure ExpressRoute setups.
- Competence in managing antivirus software and conducting patch management.
- Backup administration and IT asset management capabilities.
- L1 end-user support and IT documentation skills.
- Vendor relationship coordination.
- Basic Mac OS understanding.
