Role Overview
Hutt City Council is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their Information Services team, responsible for managing and enhancing the Council's modern Microsoft cloud and hybrid IT infrastructure. This opportunity offers the chance to support and innovate within a secure, reliable, and evolving digital environment that significantly benefits the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud and hybrid infrastructures, focusing on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Deliver Level 3 support and serve as a technical escalation point for complex issues.
- Manage identity services, endpoint devices, and cloud security solutions.
- Provide technical expertise for infrastructure projects, contributing to robust solution designs.
- Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to ensure dependable and secure technology services.
- Identify and drive initiatives to modernize, automate, and refine IT infrastructure systems.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience designing and supporting diverse Microsoft Cloud technologies, including M365.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, identity management, endpoint administration, and enterprise security practices.
- Demonstrated ability in providing advanced technical support within a complex IT landscape.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities coupled with clear and effective communication skills.
- Team-oriented with a strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Adaptable and quick to learn and implement new technologies.
