Role overview

Pura Crema is looking for a part-time IT Director to take charge of the company’s technology landscape in Dubai. This role blends on-site involvement with work-from-home flexibility and is focused on ensuring that systems, infrastructure, and security are aligned with business priorities.

What you will do

• Own the day-to-day management of IT operations across the organization.
• Lead and coordinate internal IT staff as well as external vendors and service partners.
• Keep network and system performance running smoothly by monitoring, maintaining, and improving core technology environments.
• Establish and enforce policies and procedures for the safe and effective use of technology.
• Set IT direction and translate business goals into practical technology plans.
• Manage technology budgets and ensure resources are used effectively.
• Drive major technology initiatives such as platform upgrades, system integrations, and security improvements.
• Track cybersecurity exposure, respond to risks, and help maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
• Advise company leadership on new technologies, trends, and best practices that can support growth.

Requirements

• Proven background in IT management and IT operations, with experience leading teams, vendors, and complex technical environments.
• Strong working knowledge of infrastructure, cloud platforms, business systems, and end-user support.
• Solid experience in network security, including security controls, threat monitoring, and incident handling.
• Demonstrated capability in IT strategy, including roadmap planning and budget ownership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Advanced certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, CISM, or PMP are considered a plus.
• Prior leadership experience in a small to mid-sized organization is preferred, especially in a hybrid working setup.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and sound judgment when handling multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work across departments and explain technical matters to non-technical audiences.
• Exposure to regional regulatory and data protection requirements for Dubai and the wider Middle East is advantageous.
