Role overview
The IT Coordinator position at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Doha supports the day-to-day operation of the property’s technology environment. This role focuses on keeping networks, workstations, servers, user accounts, and related hardware and software running smoothly while helping staff use systems securely and effectively.
What you will do
- Set up, configure, maintain, test, and repair computer networks, desktops, server systems, and supporting hardware and software.
- Administer user accounts and manage computer and telephone room equipment.
- Guide team members on correct system usage and security practices.
- Diagnose and resolve issues involving hardware, software, LAN/WAN, and internet connectivity.
- Respond to system error alerts and coordinate with vendors or technicians when specialist support is required.
- Review current processes, suggest improvements, and help implement better ways of working.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand computing needs and system requirements.
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot computer equipment and related systems.
- Plan and coordinate IT equipment installations, relocations, additions, changes, and upgrades.
- Help plan and implement network security controls.
- Support end users across all applications.
- Manage disk space across the network and keep technology asset records accurate.
- Operate computer and equipment controls as needed.
- Store backup tapes securely in a fireproof safe.
Additional duties and standards
You will be expected to follow company policies and procedures, report incidents or unsafe conditions, protect confidential information and company property, and support guests and colleagues professionally. The role also requires clear communication, courteous telephone handling, teamwork, and a strong focus on quality, safety, productivity, and cost efficiency. Physical activity may include lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds, standing, sitting, or walking for long periods, using computers or POS systems, and moving on stairs or ramps. Other reasonable tasks may be assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
A technical, trade, or vocational school qualification is preferred, along with at least 2 years of relevant work experience. No supervisory experience is needed, and no license or certification is required.
