About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Investment Analyst to assist our senior investment team in the United Kingdom. This role involves organizing portfolio data, performing detailed performance and risk analyses, preparing clear charts and supporting documentation, and ensuring all analytical deliverables are precise, well-sourced, and primed for senior-level review.
Key Responsibilities
- Systematically clean, organize, and reconcile asset holdings data across both public and private portfolios.
- Collect and verify market data, company details, benchmark information, and relevant financial inputs.
- Compute performance metrics, assess risk factors, analyze asset class exposures, and evaluate results relative to benchmarks.
- Support valuation procedures for private companies and contribute to other financial modeling tasks.
- Create precise tables, graphical charts, and other visuals to be used in investment presentations.
- Maintain a detailed source log that tracks data origins, assumptions, and calculation methods.
- Assist with extensive portfolio analyses, review holdings, and conduct market research.
- Help prepare streamlined trade instructions and documentation required post-trade.
- Perform rigorous quality control checks on financial models, calculations, visuals, and presentation outputs.
- Promptly incorporate feedback from reviewers and update analysis as necessary.
Candidate Profile
- Approximately 3 to 4 years of professional experience in investment roles.
- Background combining Investment Banking and buy-side investing practices.
- Preferred buy-side experience in Private Equity or Hedge Funds, with a preference for Hedge Fund expertise.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience handling financial models, market data exports, and large datasets.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, valuation methods, portfolio performance evaluation, and investment research techniques.
- Proven capability producing charts, tables, source logs, and senior-level presentation content.
- Ability to perform detailed and repetitive analytical work accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational abilities with a focus on maintaining clear documentation of data sources and assumptions.
- Strong written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ease with working under supervision and modifying work based on structured feedback.
- Additional experience in financial screening, AI evaluations, or human-data-centric projects is advantageous.
