About the Role
Located in Delta, British Columbia, this full-time position within the warehouse department invites a proactive Inventory Control Supervisor to lead and oversee all facets of operational logistics. The ideal candidate will be adept at planning, coordinating, and managing daily operational tasks while ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of inventory control processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement tailored plans to prioritize workload and operational activities effectively.
- Organize and allocate tasks to meet daily operational goals.
- Manage and oversee the logistical operations of the organization to ensure smooth workflow.
- Collaborate with other departments and work units to maintain cohesive and seamless operations.
- Prepare, regularly update, and submit detailed operational and performance reports.
- Ensure proper functioning of computer systems and machinery used in operations.
- Arrange routine maintenance or repairs for equipment as needed to avoid downtime.
- Address operational challenges by providing technical advice and suggesting improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
- Coordinate staff training programs and promote employee skill development.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Oversee the delegation and review of work activities to maximize operational efficiency.
- Manage requisitioning and ordering of necessary materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent secondary school graduation certificate is mandatory.
- A minimum of two years, but less than three years, of experience in warehousing, logistics, or third-party logistics (3PL) environments.
- Practical experience using inventory control software.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Exceptional time management capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
