About the Role
Jones International Transport seeks a skilled Import Administrator to join their expanding team in Dublin. This role involves coordinating international road transport shipments across mainland Europe, the UK, and Ireland, managing a sizeable truck fleet, and ensuring seamless logistics operations within a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange and oversee international import shipments involving mainland Europe, the UK, and Ireland.
- Manage a fleet of nearly 40 trucks to ensure efficient operations.
- Communicate regularly with drivers and clients to provide shipment progress updates.
- Organize ferry transport bookings as part of logistics coordination.
- Manage customs paperwork including Pre-Board Notifications (PBNs) and Goods Movement Records (GMRs).
- Supervise temperature-controlled transportation and promptly address any alarm irregularities.
- Handle Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation management accurately.
- Operate effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Requirements
- Three to five years of hands-on experience in international road transport operations.
- Excellent organizational abilities and strong communication skills.
- Capacity to take initiative while also contributing as a team player.
- Willingness to work one weekend every four weeks on a rotating basis, with compensatory days off.
