HRIS Specialist

Role Overview

The HRIS Specialist will be responsible for executing, coordinating, and supervising HR Information System activities in accordance with established policies and system protocols to guarantee uniform and systematic operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the IT department to apply system updates, upgrades, and troubleshoot technical problems effectively and within set timelines.
• Track system performance and liaise with IT to ensure prompt resolution of incidents and technical issues.
• Oversee management of user access rights and permissions following strict information security and data governance standards.
• Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of HR data through ongoing validation and monitoring processes.
• Regularly review data to identify inconsistencies and ensure timely corrective measures are implemented.
• Coordinate data import and export activities between HRIS and other systems, partnering with IT where necessary.
• Generate recurring and ad-hoc HR reports to aid HR and management with informed decision-making.
• Create and sustain HR dashboards for tracking vital HR metrics and key performance indicators.
• Facilitate HR operational workflows, including attendance tracking, leave management, and payroll processing through the HRIS platform.
• Engage in user acceptance testing (UAT) to verify new features and system improvements before rollout.
• Document HRIS procedures, system changes, and updates to ensure governance compliance, consistency, and knowledge management.
• Provide training sessions to HR personnel on system usage and industry best practices.
• Identify and recommend automation opportunities and enhancements within HR processes.
• Work collaboratively across departments to ensure HRIS functionality meets business requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Two to four years of practical experience relevant to HRIS or related fields.
