About The Ned Doha
The Ned Doha is set inside Doha’s landmark former Ministry of Interior building. It brings together historic character, polished luxury, and modern style to deliver a distinctive guest experience.
The property features seven dining outlets, 90 thoughtfully designed rooms, sophisticated event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ space with a rooftop terrace, spa, gym, and a 30-metre outdoor pool.
Role Purpose
This position is responsible for leading the housekeeping room team and ensuring that all areas of the property are maintained to an exceptional standard of cleanliness, presentation, and order. The supervisor will coordinate daily operations, oversee staff performance, and make sure housekeeping tasks are completed smoothly and on time.
Key Responsibilities
The Housekeeping Rooms Supervisor will be expected to:
- Plan and direct housekeeping staff assignments so coverage is maintained and cleanliness targets are consistently met.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service/back-of-house areas each day to confirm they meet hygiene and safety expectations.
- Welcome and train new team members, while also coaching existing staff through guidance and feedback.
- Create and refine housekeeping routines, standards, and checklists to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Track stock levels, arrange replenishment, and manage cleaning materials and equipment.
- Respond promptly and professionally to housekeeping-related guest issues and complaints.
- Monitor housekeeping expenses, including labour and supply usage, to stay within budget.
- Ensure all work follows health, safety, and sanitation requirements.
- Work closely with other departments to support seamless daily operations and an excellent guest experience.
Qualifications and Competencies
- This role is preferably suited to a female candidate.
- A high school diploma or similar qualification is required; further study in hospitality management or a related area is an advantage.
- At least 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a hospitality setting is needed.
- Strong leadership ability with experience guiding, motivating, and developing teams.
- Excellent planning and time management skills, with close attention to detail.
- Practical knowledge of housekeeping tools, equipment, and cleaning methods.
- Ability to solve problems effectively and manage several priorities at once.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Compensation and Benefits
- Tax-free annual pay of QAR 33,000 to QAR 35,000.
